FFVII EC: THE FIRST SOLDIER CHAPTER 8

Here we are at what looks to maybe be the final chapter of the story! Or maybe not. We'll find out at the end, I guess. Either way, it's certainly been a wild ride.

TEN YEARS LATER TIMESKIP OH SHIT

Adult Seph and Glenn face off just like in the opening. But this time Refu jumps in to stop the fight. Turns out, they didn't hate each other after all. Glenn is clearly no longer with Shinra (or is he? It's still kind of unclear. Maybe he's a rogue?) but Sephiroth and he really aren't enemies despite this, despite not having seen each other in a long time.

Glenn has intel and alerts Sephiroth to the fact that Shinra is going to do a big airstrike on the defected soldiers, hitting the Shinra base in the process. He's letting Sephiroth know in advance because despite loyalty, Sephiroth still cares about his men. I'm still a little fuzzy on if this means if he's asking Sephiroth to protect SOLDIER forces or the defected group. I presume the former, since Glenn says he can't be the one to do it.

Also he apologizes for kicking Sephiroth's necklace. Aww.

Sephiroth has changed over the years. You can tell. He reflects nostalgically on his time with Glenn, reflecting that he's become a much more compassionate person. And this attitude reflects in him wanting to save his men.

This is actually really cool CC-esque stuff with Sephiroth's portrayal. Adult Seph is playable here btw. Sephiroth is shown to be very caring towards the safety of his fellow soldiers. He keeps telling himself that he can save everyone. He believes that you can defeat hate with compassion.

He's also repeatedly recognized as "the hero", even as he makes his way towards all the action. But Sephiroth muses that he can become a hero for REAL if he actually does heroic things. He has to keep pushing himself.

He reaches the soldiers getting swarmed by monsters on Mt. Tamblin. Sephiroth is clearly tired--maybe from worrying about Genesis? And then he fights a really huge behemoth.

Sunrise. Seph has defeated all the monsters. Everyone gushes over him for protecting everyone, flashing cameras in his face and everything while he sighs at being called a hero. Glenn watches him warmly from a distance.

As Sephiroth is walking through the crowd he has Jenova-esque flashes, where he flashes back to the scene with Rosen from before.

We all guessed it--Rosen begged Sephiroth to mercy kill him so he can be with his people in the afterlife. Miniroth had pled with Rosen to give life a chance, to find his place in the world. But Rosen tells Sephiroth to do it or else everyone is going to die. He asks Sephiroth whose life is important to him--it's Glenn. And we see Sephiroth reluctantly make his choice. So it was a misunderstanding this entire time.

A lonely adult Sephiroth stands in the Edge of Creation, staring pensively ahead at the cosmos.

So. Is the story over, you ask? Well...yes.

.......................but not completely. Because a very interesting teaser shows up at the end. One I think is going to blow your minds.

It's all good, I don't mind clearing this up and I appreciate you being polite about it /gen. Tbh I haven't watched the video and I don't really plan to because regardless of whether or not the allegations themselves are true, he still makes me very uncomfortable. Super Cream 64 v6 Update Patch Notes

Opening logo has been updated

Dialog has been updated to address typos and new changes (thank you Saralene for the help!)

Legacy Puppycam camera has been readded and set to default. Can be changed at anytime in Options > Camera. Big thank you to AloXado320 (and SM64ex-Alo in general) for implementing this suggestion.

(PC/Switch) A brand new config file called cream64config.txt will generate instead of using the default sm64config.txt to prevent conflict with other mods. You may need to reconfig your binds and settings if you've played previous builds. The new config file is still located in the same folder as the previous config.

Game will no longer crash from landing after a triple jump. A fix carried over from SM64ex-alo.

Cheese follow code has been updated. Cheese will now spawn in the Castle Grounds and disappear when the ending cutscene starts.

Camera readjust whenever the player landed from flying in the default/lakitu cam has been fixed. Leftover code from Chao Bandstand was causing the issue back when flying put you into Wing Cap Cam. - The following levels affected will now behave properly whenever you landed: Big Boo's Haunt, any level that used 8 Directional Cam, the aquarium room inside the castle and any Eggman fight.

Melancholy Mines (formally Cavern of the Metal Cap): - Added a floor to make advancing to the upper level much easier - Removed a spot that could cause softlocks and replaced it with a wall grate.

My main profitable skills that I can balance with college rn include:

[1] 2d vtuber drawing, rigging, tracking. I can draw the model, rig the model, and make the model move with your camera.

Commissions: John Doe reads over my commission terms and sample models/art, and then tells me what they want. As I've done some personal models before, I'm thinking about starting off at 5-10$ with 1 commission slot, then raising the price with each satisfied customer.

Raffle: I make a model based on what Vehlur Project character the @lets-make-a-thing community votes for. John Doe pays for a ticket to be inserted into a raffle, then I pull a random ticket from a hat and if I pull the ticket matching John Doe's ticket, then they win the Vtuber model. Will need to do some legal research for this to make sure everything is allowed.

Alternative Raffle: Auctioning a model. Will need to do some legal research for this to make sure everything is allowed.

Sell Pre-made: I make models from Vehlur characters in advance and sell them. This approach depends on the demand of a character or what people want.

I don't have the money to take a real JLPT test, but I took a practice N5 test online and got 100%. My gaijin JP professor who lived, worked, and married in Japan, also said I'm definitely above N5, so I take his word for it. I have no idea where I would go to make money with this skill. [3] Face drawings. I can draw people's faces quickly with pencil.

Unfortunately 2 years ago, I made the mistake of asking for feedback on Reddit by posting in-progress vtuber works, and was clowned on for it. “Well, is it like you remembered?” Your mom asks, but you don’t respond.

You’re too busy looking around the campground, searching for a certain boy. The last time your family came here, years ago, you made an instant best friend with a boy named Tommy. Your mom must’ve taken a photo of you two because the framed photo has sat on your desk ever since.

But now you were here, ten years to the day, for another camping trip. You were absolutely determined to find this kid and figure out why kid you was so damn attached.

Obviously your plan had a few flaws. The biggest one? You have no fucking clue what he looks like. In the photo he was blond and tall, taller than you, but that was ten years ago. For all you know he could’ve dyed his hair and stopped growing!

“Why don’t you walk around? There’s a lake you could probably get some cool photos at for your friends or something.” Your mom suggests. She lowers her voice. “Your dad’s struggling with the tent, just give him a bit.”

You turn around to see the entire tent collapse on your dad. Anything is better than being roped into that mess, even trying to hunt down the mystery guy.

“Yeah, alright. Text me if you need me!” With that, you make your escape.

The campground is actually really full. It is prime vacation time though, so it makes sense. You aren't quite sure if that makes your job easier or harder. It meant a higher likelihood of the guy being here but made it harder to actually find him.

Somehow you instinctively make your way down near the water, where a few geese are scattered around. Cute, but you know they can and will bite you if you get any closer. Luckily you aren't seeing any goslings. You raise your phone, opening the camera app to take a photo. Who doesn't appreciate photos of geese?

Of course, the second your eyes are off the geese, one decides it fucking hates you. The goose charges at you, all fluffed up feathers and angry honking noises.

"Woah, hey!" You exclaim, backing away slowly.

It doesn't seem to be slowing down though, still advancing. You actually like not having to get a rabies shot--can geese get rabies? You don't want to find out--so you turn tail and run. Apparently that was also the wrong move, as it chases you.

There's just no winning with this stupid goose.

"I'm dead, I'm so fucking dead." You pant, racing through unfamiliar tents.

As you disrupt everyone's camping experience, they stop to stare at you. You must look like a madman, running from a goose like this. But they bite! And you have a will to live!

Risking a glance back, you stare at the goose. You'd think it looked almost majestic if it wasn't actively trying to kill you. Wings spread wide, it was showcasing its beauty. Unfortunately, it was still chasing you.

"Leave me alone, you fucker!" Someone shouts.

You turn your head away from the goose and to the noise, still running, only to crash into something. You barely see a flash of red before you land hard on your ass. The goose is definitely going to kill you.

"Oh God, I'm going to die to a fucking goose." You groan.

"My friends are never letting me live it down if I die to one of these fuckers."

Whipping your head around, you realize the thing you crashed into wasn't actually a "thing." It was a person. A blond boy was also sprawled out on the grass next to you, in a red shirt. He looks strangely familiar, but you don't really have time to think about that right now.

There're two geese now, both honking at you two. At least they seem to be getting some amusement out of your inevitable death.

"You were getting chased by one too?" The boy guesses.

"Yeah, thing just charged at me!"

"Me too!"

He grins at you, and for a second you forget about the geese. There was something so agonizingly familiar about that smile.

"I think they're not angry anymore?" He stands up, and you realize the geese stopped making noises. Now they're just staring at you two. If you didn't know better, you would've thought they seemed impatient.

He offers you a hand to help you up, and you take it.

"Now that we survived a goose attack together, I feel like we're practically best friends." You joke.

"Those who fight off savage geese together stay together, as I always say." He agrees, nodding. "I'm Tommy, by the way."

The name strikes something in you, and you suddenly realize why he seems so familiar. Blond hair, tall as fuck. You had completely forgotten the name Tommy, but hearing it now you remember. What were the chances a random goose actually chased you into meeting the kid you met ten years ago?

"Weird question, but you wouldn't have happened to come here ten years ago, would you?"

Tommy's face changes from amusement to shock, jaw dropping. The expression change tells you everything you need to know, the answer to your question.

"No fucking way." He gasps.

"Fucking way."

One of the geese lets out a honk, making you both jump and turn toward it. The geese waddle away, considerably calmer than when they were trying to attack you both.

"This is fucking crazy." Tommy laughs, running a hand through his hair.

"You're telling me! A goose chased me from the other side of the campground to here!" You exclaim. "It's like it knew what it was doing!"

"They were conspiring against us!"

You laugh at his words, and he almost seems to glow at it.

"Hey, could I get your number? So I don't have to go ten years wondering about you again." He asks, forming it into another joke.

"Of course." He hands you his phone, and you quickly put in your number and save your contact. "There. This time we can't disappear on each other."

"Hey! That was your fault!"

"How was it my fault?! You were the one who left!"

"You're the one who isn't English! Who the fuck isn't English?!"

As you joke with each other like no time has passed, something weird happens. It's like a piece of you has slotted into place, a piece you didn't even know was missing.

Aw, thank you! I'm really glad you like my screenshots! I'll try my best to answer your questions.

First of all, I don't use the in-game camera to take screenshots. I use FRAPS, but I'm sure any screen capturing software will do. I started using FRAPS because the simmers I admired were using it. There is a paid version with more options, but I never bothered with that.

Moving on :) After taking the screenshots, I edit them in photoshop. I don't use reshade, and I'm not sure if I have a lighting mod in right now. If I do, it's probably Spookymuffin's mod, which is basically Maxis lighting with dusk and dawn edited in.

I have a few ways of editing my pictures, but it's usually Eversims Holy Batman actions. Here's a comparison:

But sometimes, and lately most times, I like to kick it up a notch, and I play around with vibrancy and saturation. I used to do it myself, but lately I've been using @simburgerr's vibrance and saturation layers from this psd. Comparison picture:

Heyo! I hope y’all been well! I just have a little status update in regards to what I’ll be posting for the next few days/weeks.

Although I primarily joined Tumblr to share my love for BG3 and its wonderful characters (mostly NPCs at this point), I do hope to share content for another lovely game that’s coming real soon, Dragon Age: The Veilguard

I’ve been anticipating for the release since its trailer in June, and upon hearing it has camera mode, I hope to extend my skills and passion to another game.

Now this isn’t me saying bye to BG3, of course not! Once I adjust my current hyperfixation, I’ll be mixing both BG3 and Veilguard shots to give some variety. I gotta diversify my content since my posts haven’t gotten much traction (which I don’t mind, I don’t really post for the numbers or anything). Besides, I’ll likely give some Veilguard NPCs the spotlight too since the CC’s quite impressive with their looks~!

With that in mind, I look forward to also share my own characters between both games! I answered a question that showcased some of my designed Tavs/Durge, I do plan on posting more of them in the future. I’m also excited to share some Rooks too while the bandwagon is rolling, can’t wait to unveil the curtains on them soon!
